President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)
Sri Shirdi Saibaba Mandir of North Carolina (SSMNC) is honored to be recognized as a Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). This national program celebrates individuals, families, and groups who demonstrate a strong commitment to civic engagement and make a meaningful impact in their communities. Volunteers who complete a qualifying number of service hours within a 12‑month period — or over a lifetime — may be recognized with a prestigious award from the President of the United States.
The PVSA is administered by AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service, in partnership with Points of Light, the official program partner responsible for managing award verification and distribution. As a Certifying Organization, SSMNC is authorized to review eligible volunteer service hours and submit nominations for PVSA recognition.
Age Categories
The PVSA includes multiple age categories so that volunteers of all ages can be honored for their dedication:
- Kids: Ages 5–14
- Young Adults: Ages 15–25
- Adults: Ages 26+
- Families & Groups: Combined service hours
Award packages typically include a personalized certificate, a letter from the President of the United States, and optional pins or medallions available through the PVSA portal.
To participate in the PVSA program, volunteers must have a verified account in the official PVSA system. Volunteers can create or access their account at presidentialserviceawards.gov.
SSMNC can assist volunteers with account verification or answer questions about eligibility. If you are interested in earning the President’s Volunteer Service Award through your service at Sai Mandir, please contact us at volunteers@ssmnc.org for information on how to participate.
We are grateful to all devotees and community members who offer their time in service to Baba. Your dedication strengthens our Mandir and uplifts the broader community.
